Dr. Cueva says that Chao Pinhole Gum Rejuvenation™ is encouraging patients to accept needed gum recession treatment. “That’s a big contrast to the reaction of patients when told they need gum grafting surgery," he says.

Online PR News – 26-February-2014 – Dallas, TX – Dallas, TX - “Every day, patients are told by their dental providers that they have gum recession and they are advised to consider gum grafting surgery,” says Dr. Marco Cueva, who is among the first dental professionals in the world to be certified to perform Chao Pinhole Gum Rejuvenation™. “Receding gums may be caused by excessive tooth brushing, the normal aging process or by health problems. While estimates state that up to 50% of Americans will develop receding gums sometime during their lives, the rate of compliance, or the percentage of patients who undergo recommended gum grafting surgery is relatively low,” says Dr. Cueva. “That’s because people perceive gum grafting to be an invasive procedure which requires considerable downtime.”
“Patients are pleased to learn that now they can have their gum recession reversed in minutes without a scalpel or stitches, and with relatively little pain or downtime,” says Dr. Cueva. “Rather than cutting and transferring gum tissue, Chao Pinhole Gum Rejuvenation™ takes just a few minutes per tooth. With this technique we can treat multiple teeth at the same time. The procedure is done through small ‘pinholes’ made in the gums which disappear overnight. Patients can usually go back to normal activities and eat regular meals the next day.”
