Online PR News – 13-March-2014 – Richmond Hill, Ontario – Richmond Hill, Ontario – One of Ontario’s leading providers of top quality day care is launching a new blog to compliment the recent revamping of their website. The York Enrichment Child Care Center (YECC) in Richmond Hills is owned and operated by Nelli Hooper, a trusted member of the Richmond Hill community, and a highly qualified child care provider.
“When a child is prepared for the school setting, they are better able to learn, as they can focus on the things being taught rather than on everything else.”
In addition to her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, certification in Early Childhood Education (ECE), and over 20 years experience in education, Nelli Hooper boasts a background in the performing arts, attending schools in Toronto and Europe as a young child and teen. Both her professional knowledge and creative substance will be reflected in the new Blog as it is in the YECC curriculum.
The new YECC Blog will particularly feature regularly updated articles containing advice on child care, parenting, child rearing, and suggestions on how to get the best for both parent and child out of the day care experience. New day care and parenting trends and how they can be applied personally by parents will also be a regular feature. As per her qualifications to Blog about child care and parenting issues, in addition to her professional certification, Nelli has experience in developing special programs for children at risk and has regularly taught parenting workshops.
A unique aspect of the YECC Blog will be advice on how parents can assist day care providers in preparing their children for school. “Children will learn basic skills at YECC such as feeding themselves, getting dressed, and using the washroom, while learning to socialize communicate and develop cognitive skills, but it is important for parents to continue that training at home,” she says. "When a child is prepared for the school setting, they are better able to learn, as they can focus on the things being taught rather than on everything else."
The Blog will be featured under the new “Parenting Resources” section of the YECC website, where parents can also find links to other valuable online resources. “The Blog is simply an extension of our service to parents and a reflection of our love of the children we teach,” says Ms. Hooper. “Our aim is not just to impart information though,” says Nelli, “hopefully the Blog will establish dialogue and help to forge better communication and stronger relationships with parents; after all at York Enrichment Child Care Center we view ourselves as extended family.”
York Enrichment Childcare Centre was fuelled by a love of children and a desire to provide quality care for them in the Oak Ridges, Richmond Hill area. Nelli has created a nurturing centre that goes above and beyond expectations. The new website and blog fully reflects those qualities!
