Online PR News – 15-March-2014 – Herndon, VA – The National Vapers Club is pleased to present DC VAPEFEST 2014, an e-cigarette convention and seminar for the vaping community, taking place March 21 - March 22, 2014 from 2pm -10pm at the Hyatt Dulles, in Herndon, Virginia. Current cigarette smokers and vapers are welcome. Since 2010, the National Vapers Club has been hosting VapeFest—a social convention, educational forum, and industry networking event for current e-cigarette users and smokers who would like to learn about vaping. It is open to adults 18 years and older.
“Vapefest is the longest running vape event in the nation and has grown exponentially over the past few years as interest in e-cigarettes from smokers has also grown. Event proceeds will help National Vapers Club fund research, educate the community, and protect vapers’ rights.”
More than 30 industry vendors will have vaping products available for purchase, with many more sponsoring prizes. Workshops on topics such as beginners’ basics, safety, and political advocacy and activism will be taught by industry leaders. There will also be after-parties, a scavenger hunt, silent auction, give-aways and raffle prizes.
National Vapers Club holds Vapefest as a fundraiser for e-cigarette research, such as the IVAQS (www.IVAQS.com) study published in the journal Inhalation Toxicology in 2012. IVAQS presented scientific conclusion on indoor air quality where electronic cigarette vapor was present. It has become an educational outlet for consumers and vendors alike. Funding from Vapefest also helps National Vapers Club protect your right to vape, such as transporting industry professionals, legal experts and scientists to testify at hearings to support legislation that keeps e-cigarettes not only legal, but readily available to smokers at the local, state and federal level.

About [About National Vapers Club: National Vapers Club is a volunteer organization founded in 2009 by e-cigarette consumers that raises funds for scientific research, provides education to anyone who wants to learn more about electronic cigarettes, and helps protect vapers rights by activism on the local, state and federal levels. The group presents Vapefest (vapefest.com), a semi-annual convention for vapers which is an educational, consumer/trade show. With funds raised from this and other grass-roots efforts, National Vapers Club funded the Indoor Vapor Air Quality Study (ivaqs.com) that determined e-cigarette vapor did not present a risk for bystanders. In 2011, data was collected at Clarkson University’s Center for Air Resources Engineering & Science. Data was published in the peer reviewed journal, Inhalation Toxicology in October 2012. This data is now presented to legislatures and health departments in localities where e-cigarette bans have been proposed or passed.
