The combination of touchscreen and Windows 8.x make the new MantaroBot very easy to configure and use. The 18” display provides a very lifelike telepresence experience for the local users. The remote user can also share video, media and documents on the large screen allowing interactive displays during meetings in any location.
The Classic 2 provides cost effective telepresence for use in telemedicine, security, education, business and manufacturing applications. The Windows 8.x operating system allows easy integration with corporate IT infrastructure.
The MantaroBot Classic 2 features a 720P HD camera mounted on a pan - tilt system allowing the user to view around the robot from many angles. The optional motorized mast allows the camera and display to be positioned to the optimal viewing height. The motorized base allows the remote user to drive the MantaroBot around the remote location such as an office, factory floor or laboratory.

The full Windows 8.x computer allows the MantaroBot Classic 2 to be customized by the user for their application with software applications of their choice. An API is also available to allow direct control of the robots movements programmatically for robotic experimentation.

The Classic 2 can use Skype™, Lync®, Polycom® or any other audio/video teleconferencing software available for the Windows 8.x operating system. This allows the Classic 2 to be integrated into the IT infrastructure of corporate video teleconferencing networks and does not require a new software infrastructure to be deployed.
"The Classic 2 can alternatively be equipped with a lower cost HP® Omni 10 Tablet with 10.1 inch display for applications that do not require a large screen," added MantaroBot’s Business Development Manager, Kamal Kapadia. The MantaroBot Classic 2 can be equipped with options that include a motorized mast, docking station, extended life battery and an aimable laser pointer. The Classic 2 can be controlled by the remote user using the new web based TeleGo Controller or via a Controller Application that can be installed on a Mac and PC.
