Sarabia's parents were often traveling the Eastern part of the United States volunteering in all areas of assisting the community. Leo Sarabia said, "I was honored in 2010 when I was asked to be on the Board of the Los Angeles area Big Brothers Big Sisters. My parents inculcated in us that giving back and caring for others was the single most important part of a person's character that mattered most."
