Santa Clara County Home Values Rise 15% Year On Year
Online PR News – 07-August-2014 – SAN JOSE, Calif. – According to San Jose REALTOR® George Saghafian of Intero Real Estate Services, Santa Clara County home prices have risen approximately 15% in the past year.
In data recorded and published by the Santa Clara County Association of Realtors, single-family home prices in Santa Clara County from June 2013 to June 2014 rose about 15%, helping sellers considerably.
Saghafian, who helps sellers list luxury homes in many parts of the Bay Area, especially San Jose, Cupertino, Sunnyvale, Los Gatos, and Saratoga, says that the data is good news for sellers.
"Many homeowners simply don't realize how good an opportunity the current market is providing them," Saghafian says.
“Having Silicon Valley's best tech businesses nearby helps property values immensely, and I would say are a major factor in the stability of the Bay Area housing market. In fact, Google and Apple employees have been some of our best real estate clients over the years.”
Unlike previous periods in the Bay Area real estate market, when real estate was all over the news, he says that right now, real estate isn't blanketing the news coverage. As a result, he says many homeowners don't know how much equity they're sitting on.
"One of the first steps any home owner should take if they are interested in selling their home is to get a professional home valuation. Bay Area home values have risen substantially in recent years, and that may provide a good chance for growing families to move up to a larger home, or for empty nesters to find a luxury home that fits their changing lifestyle," he says.
With interest rates on the move, but currently under 4% for many popular loan programs, Saghafian says the local luxury home market is healthy.
"Having Silicon Valley's best tech businesses nearby helps property values immensely, and I would say are a major factor in the stability of the Bay Area housing market. In fact, Google and Apple employees have been some of our best real estate clients over the years," he says.
