Kansas City, MO The InterContinental Kansas City at the Plaza earned the 2011 AAA Four Diamond Award last week following an anonymous, unannounced visit by a AAA inspector and thorough walk-through inspection of guest rooms, public spaces and behind-the-scenes operations. The award puts the Kansas City hotel in a rare class - less than 4% of the 31,000 AAA rated lodging establishments receive a prestigious rating of four diamonds.

The Kansas City hotel was honored along side four other hotels but the InterContinental is the only property that has received the award for the 19th consecutive year.
