14-date business tour of the island of Ireland organised by Ulster Bank in association with www.smallbusinesscan.com
Online PR News – 05-October-2010 –The next generation of Irish businesses will come together over the next two months to share their hopes, fears, concerns and aspirations during a major events tour being organised by Ulster Bank.
Start-Up Live, in association with www.smallbusinesscan.com, will feature 14 dates across the island during October and November as part of the bank’s commitment to supporting new and emerging companies.
The first will take place on the evening of October 18 in Derry’s Playhouse theatre, with the tour set to culminate in Cavan’s Crystal Hotel on November 30 - taking in key towns and cities North and South along the way.
On stage will be local business people who have ‘been there and done it’ to share and discuss their experiences and mistakes with the audience of would-be and recently-established firms.
Henry Elvin, head of business banking at Ulster Bank, says that the events will be in tune with the needs of entrepreneurs.
Mr Elvin points out: “We’ve developed a helpful online platform in Smallbusinesscan where start-ups, small business owners and entrepreneurs are sharing insights, ideas, knowledge and experiences. Start-Up Live is an important and natural extension of that.”
“People who want to start a business, are in the process of starting up a company, or have recently done so, will come together at the events to learn from each other, as well as from business people who have already done it successfully.
“We think the events will be a genuinely helpful way to allow good business ideas, which we as a bank are strongly committed to supporting, to emerge, develop and grow for the benefit of the economy as a whole,” Mr Elvin adds.
