The Ozark Mountain Hoe-Down alters their current schedule to support the George Brothers 2011 Pig Trail Harley Radio Tour, sponsored by Pig Trail Harley-Davidson.
Online PR News – 22-March-2011 – – The Ozark Mountain Hoe-Down is making a schedule change this spring to support the George Brothers 2011 Pig Trail Harley Radio Tour, endorsed by Pig Trail Harley-Davidson. The Hoe-Down, which will begin their 30th Anniversary on March 11, will alter their current schedule to run Thursday through Sunday from March 28 through April 30th. During that time the George Brothers will be on the road Monday through Wednesday each week, visiting over 40 radio stations in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Mississippi.
The George Brothers, who will perform over 200 shows this year at the Ozark Mountain Hoe-Down, made their radio debut on January 12, 2011 and are quickly climbing the Texas music charts – much faster than anyone expected.
In their first week, the first single “Brothers, Friends, & Outlaws Forever” was the #1 requested song on IRCountry. The following week, the single hit #3 on BigStar97, and was the #1 downloaded song on CDTex. The George Brothers then made their chart debut on the Texas Regional Radio Report in week 4 with a #76 position. Three weeks later the single is climbing even higher to its current position at #62. The single is at #10 on CDTex, #1 on RadioFreeTexas, and #6 on the IMN chart.
“We knew a radio tour was part of the deal, but we had no idea we’d be planning it just one month after we released the single,” stated Leslie Wright, manager of the George Brothers and performer at the Ozark Mountain Hoe-Down. “Our radio promoter, Debbie Green, told us we are way ahead of schedule and it’s time to hit the road.”
George Brothers lead singer, Randall George, added “We really appreciate the support of our Hoe-Down fans, George Brothers fans, and especially all the radio stations playing our song. All of these folks are the reason we’re climbing the charts. We’re blown away by how many people are requesting this song every day.”
The George Brothers will be releasing 1000 limited edition CD’s with the Pig Trail Harley logo on the back cover, which will be included in over 80 Eureka Springs get-a-way packages to be given to radio stations during the tour. “When Pig Trail Harley came on board, it was a big honor to be able to put the Harley-Davidson logo next to ours,” said Dawayne George.
In addition, the Ozark Mountain Hoe-Down and Pig Trail Harley-Davidson will be sponsoring the George Brothers as they host 6 motorcycle rides and shows to benefit various organizations including local veterans and St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
