Greater Noida, December 15th 2011:- Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) set a record for itself in campus recruitment with more than 80% for its students during the ongoing placement season for the class of 2011-12.

The total number of placements by November last week had hit a high of 562, highest achieved ever in such a short time. The highlight of the placement season was that as compare to last year 10 new companies entered the GCET campus to net the talent for their enterprises. Galgotias College of Engineering placement was upto 100% in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.
Infosys Technologies Ltd. picked up 301 students on the first day of the placement exercise offering package of Rs 3.25 lakh per annum, the highest domestic package Rs. 5.86 lakh per annum is offered by Thoughtworks Technologies, exceeding the average offer of Rs 3 lakh per anum.
More than 28 companies have visited the GCET campus in just 40 days for recruitment so far, with the companies like Accenture picking up 175 students, MAQ Software, Thoughtworks Technologies, Headstrong, Tech Mahindra, Huawei Telecom, Cummins India, L&T Ltd., Bosch Ltd., Impetus, Value First Pvt. Ltd., Nucleus Software, Fiserv, NIIT Technology, Sona Koyo Steering Systems Limited.
