HUNTINGTON, N.Y. – NY Toyota dealer Huntington Toyota is proud to offer its support and is happy to co-sponsor the first and groundbreaking event: construction of a home for USMC Lieutenant James Byler. Building Homes for Heroes is a non-profit organization that brings together a community to serve severely wounded men and women of the military.

On Saturday, March 31st at 10 a.m., there will be a small parade that will travel up the street to USMC Lieutenant James Byler’s home. There will be many participating in the parade including Town of Huntington dignitaries, veterans groups, enlisted men and women of the military, youth organizations, project supporters, and local tradesmen. By supplying all food through BBQ King services, Huntington Toyota will also show its support.

All NY Toyota customers are encouraged to come to the ceremony to offer their own support and to show their patriotism. Refreshments will be served as well as Building Home for Heroes t-shirts to those who attend the celebration. The home of USMC Lieutenant James Byler will then be constructed, set to be completed before the June 30th homecoming celebration. All supporters and volunteers will also be invited back to be a part of the celebration in June as well.

The location of USMC Lieutenant James Byler’s home is:
11 Broadview Drive
Huntington Station, NY 11746

USMC Lieutenant James Byler stepped onto an improvised explosive device while he was leading his platoon on a dismounted patrol in one of the deadliest provinces in Afghanistan. Both of his legs were amputated above the knee along with both pinky fingers. He has now been awarded the Purple Heart, and Lieutenant Byler is the focus of all support of Huntington Toyota and Building Home for Heroes.

Interested NY Toyota customers are welcome to join in the celebration. Huntington Toyota hopes to see many on Saturday.
