Online PR News – 27-May-2012 – Quincy, IL – Kharisma Ryantori Sommers, the designer and creator of Popnicute Artisan Jewelry, happily announced that her handcrafted jewelry will be distributed to one hundred celebrities in a collaborative swag bags prepared exclusively by The Artisan Group inside GBK Luxury Gift Lounge for The 2012 MTV Movie Awards. For this special event, Kharisma created a collection called Batik Glam which includes a complete array of jewelry in 6 different original designs: slave bracelets, earrings, two types of necklaces and bangles. These were completed by hand in two months which was then individually packaged and shipped to California.
By using organic shapes and patterns to capture the essence of Indonesian Batik, Kharisma has transformed ethnic tradition to a unique contemporary jewelry line. Batik Glam Collection uses brass and copper as the main medium. Szarka Carter from Texas teamed up with Kharisma to provide her with freshwater pearls, Labradorite and copper beads from her online bead store, Magpie Gemstones. Kharisma also brought to play colorful handmade lampworked glass beads provided by glass artisan, Melissa Vess of Colorado.
