In earning this certification, ASG engineers have demonstrated a comprehensive understanding of the complex server, storage, networking, virtualization and application solutions that comprise HP’s Converged Infrastructure.
Online PR News – 23-August-2012 – DENVER – DENVER, Colorado — June 18, 2012 —Advanced Systems Group (ASG), the Denver-based IT consulting, integration, and project management firm, today announces that it has been recognized by UBM Channel as a part of CRN’s 2012 Solution Provider 500 list, which ranks the top technology integrators in North America. Formerly known as the “VAR 500”, the Solution Provider 500 ranks the highest producing solution provider organizations in the IT channel from hardware sales, software sales, and managed IT services. Advanced Systems Group placed #106 in the annual ranking—15 places above their previous year’s ranking. ASG was also awarded CRN’s Business Transformation award this year.
“Our growth and success these past few years has been due in part to our ability to accurately predict the shifts in the industry that affect our customers,” said ASG Executive Vice President, John Murphy. “Today, our clients are facing complex challenges like managing Big Data, consolidating data centers, and integrating cloud computing strategies into their IT plans. We’ve been able to focus on helping our customers address these challenges, and we’re honored to have UBM Channel recognize our efforts.”
UBM Channel compiles the Solution Provider 500 ranking based on revenue size, while also considering each company’s forward-thinking approach to the channel. In particular, the Solution Provider 500 selection panel sought to recognize companies that are building out practices around the data center and virtualization with software integration and application development skills. Revenue size is determined by the amount of annual products and services sold over the course of 2011. Companies with no public documentation were required to submit a notarized affidavit attesting to their 2010 and 2011 revenues.
“The organizations listed in this year’s Solution Provider 500 list are today’s true integration innovators who generate high revenues by putting their customers’ needs first,” said Kelley Damore, Vice President and Editorial Director at UBM Channel. “Their primary role is to engineer ways to leverage technology solutions that help customers exceed their sales goals, drive client satisfaction, expand internationally or accelerate new product development. In essence, they are today’s IT integration leaders for middle market and enterprise customers. We congratulate Advanced Systems Group for making this year’s list and look forward to covering their continued success.”
At this year’s SP500 conference in Charlotte, N.C., Advanced Systems Group President David Sosnowski accepted the Business Transformation award. Initially founded in 1980 as a ComputerLand franchise, ASG quickly grew to include more than eight stores. In 1992, the company was consolidated into one main Denver location and has since transformed itself into an open systems integrator offering comprehensive consulting services as well as storage and data management solutions.
Today, ASG provides a variety of IT consulting areas of emphasis including virtualization, professional services, and assessments and audits. As a consistent member of the CRN Tech Elite 250, ASG pursues active involvement in the industry, maintaining the highest level of engineering certifications with partners and the vendor community.
SP500 conference is an elite two-day conference designed for high-level executives to meet with companies to discuss business models, technology offerings, and partnerships. Altogether, UBM Channel and CRN recognized companies in six technology practices, as well as special awards for business transformation, executive of the year and company of the year. A sample of the SP500 list will be published in print and online at CRN.com on June 25, 2012.
