Two biking enthusiasts representing the online wheelchair van dealer prepare to pedal the state’s beautiful byways to benefit MS endeavors
Online PR News – 13-September-2012 – Atlanta, GA – AMS Vans, a company that modifies, rents and sells wheelchair vans online and at their dealership, announces that two members of the AMS Vans team will participate in a long-distance bike ride September 15-16 to benefit individuals and families affected by Multiple Sclerosis.
General manager Dallas Crum and mobility consultant JP Jackson will be among the hundreds of cyclists in the 26th Annual Cox Atlanta Ride to benefit the Georgia Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
The ride starts and ends at Callaway Gardens, a world-class resort with 13,000 acres of spectacular Georgia countryside in the Appalachian Mountains. Cyclists choose from 35-mile, 65-mile and 100-mile routes, and each participant must raise at least $250 to be eligible for the ride.
According to Dallas Crum, “Our company has a vested interest in supporting this organization. Just like us—until there’s a cure—the MS society wants to do everything it can to help people with MS live long, happy lives as independently as possible.”
The mission of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Cox Atlanta Ride is “to create a world free of MS.” The national society and local chapters fund research in pursuit of prevention, treatment and cure for MS, assist individuals, families and communities living with MS, and champion legislation through activism and advocacy.
AMS Vans’ cyclist JP Jackson says the ride benefits more than just the MS society. “The mountains and the weather are spectacular this time of year, and we all really enjoy the ride. The fact that we’re helping people living with MS and their families makes it especially gratifying.”
