HUMAN Healthy Vending throws inaugural “Social Good Mixer” and unites Los Angeles’ social entrepreneurs, health activists, bloggers, media and healthy vending f
Online PR News – 13-September-2012 – Los Angeles, Calif. – This past Wednesday, September 5th, HUMAN Healthy Vending kicked off its inaugural “Social Good Mixer” in its new 9,000 sq ft., one-of-a-kind creative office space in Culver City, Calif. Some of Los Angeles’ most prominent health and nutrition activists, health bloggers, social entrepreneurs and media were in attendance alongside HUMAN Healthy Vending’s newest teammates – 21 franchisees from 10 different states who were in town for “HB3,” which is short for “HUMAN Business-Building Bootcamp.”
HUMAN Healthy Vending, the leading socially-responsible franchisor of healthy vending franchises, will be hosting Social Good Mixers in conjunction with HB3 every other month in an effort to encourage collaboration and problem-solving amongst Southern California’s top social entrepreneurs, health activists and bloggers. HB3 is a three-day intensive and interactive entrepreneurial training program for HUMAN franchisees hosted at HUMAN headquarters. Since its inception a year ago, HB3 has graduated nearly 250 HUMAN Healthy Vending machine operators and franchisees from all over the US, Canada and Puerto Rico.
In addition to putting faces to names and mingling with other do-gooders, HUMAN’s Social Good Mixer attendees were able to get an exclusive look behind the scenes at HUMAN’s new office space and “entrepreneurial dream world,” enjoy music spun live by HUMAN team member, Alex Mical, on top of a HUMAN Healthy Vending machine with live video feed on its front-facing LCD screen, taste healthful appetizers, and enjoy libations sponsored by VeeV and desserts sponsored by Fabe’s All Natural Bakery.
“We were excited to see so many passionate nutrition activists, bloggers, and social entrepreneurs, including our newest franchisees, under one roof,” said Sean Kelly, CEO and Co-Founder of HUMAN. “There was so much talent and passion in the room and so many relationships sparked to effect positive change that I can only imagine what good will come as we continue these mixers. And, it doesn’t hurt to throw fun into the equation – social good and fun should go hand-in-hand.”
