Anchored by Neighbors 4 Neighbors’ Nicole Maristany, the program will include the following stories:
•“Summer of Service” – A group of local students decided not to spend their Summer break on the beach or at the movies, but instead, to spend their time off giving back to some South Florida charities. Marybel Rodriguez spotlights their work with one of Neighbors 4 Neighbors’ non-profit partners, Hands On Broward.
•“Kids In Distress Major Makeover” – A local non-profit stepped into the national spotlight when a network TV show selected them for a full-scale makeover. From fresh paint, to brand new books and supplies, Lisa Petrillo reports on the volunteers who made it all happen.
•“Yoga for Vets” – Throughout the year, Neighbors 4 Neighbors participates in programs that honor our country’s veterans. Nicole Maristany shows how one organization helps vets cope with the challenges of coming back home and healing their wounds through yoga.
•“Neighbors 4 Neighbors 20 Years of Caring” – Celebrating an anniversary gives Neighbors 4 Neighbors an opportunity to reflect back and share special moments from the past 20 years. Those two decades span its beginnings in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew to its latest projects using the power of technology and social media to make human connections.
