Online PR News – 25-September-2012 – Birmingham – Leading UK point of sale manufacturer this week announced the launch of a digital strategy aimed to boost brand, sales and customer services. In a move that it calls ‘industry leading’ Wright GPX has confirmed its digital activity will include video, thought leadership and social media activity.
Established in 1969 Wrights Plastics has developed a reputation as a provider of high quality plastic solutions. It operates in West Bromwich in the Midlands and has 42,000 square feet of production base. In 2010 Wrights Plastics purchased the GPX Group giving Wrights Plastics the ability to make and stock standard promotional and display items. By adding the GPX Group to the umbrella of services it already offered made Wrights Plastics one of the largest and most diverse POS producers in the UK.
Under its GPX arm the point of sale manufacturer sells off-the-shelf retail display, jewellery display products and POS.
The digital strategy was unveiled this week by its Head of Marketing Nick Wright. “The POS sector has a tradition of innovation and has traditionally risen to meet the latest trends and changes to consumer habits. However, when it comes to marketing it has taken a fairly traditional approach, which makes our digital strategy something that will have a big impact in the POS manufacturing sector.”
The Wrights GPX website has been revamped making it easier for customers to find, buy and share products, and the website is being supported by a range of social media activities as Nick explains “We have launched Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter accounts as a way to talk to our target audience about point of sale and retail display. Of course we will be highlighting products but we have forty years experience as point of sale manufacturers so we can offer help, advice and the fruit of our experience.
“We will talk about relevant news and offer some hopefully valuable insights. But of course social media is all about engagement so we are looking forward to getting feedback from customers. We will also be blogging and article writing as we look to create some thought leadership in the industry.”
