The International Quorum of Motion Picture Producers is the only global organization of its kind. Founded in 1966, IQ grew from innovative North Carolina filmmaker Walter Klein’s vision to create a worldwide association of trusted filmmakers to share knowledge and pool international production resources. With membership representing six continents and more than 45 countries, IQ’s mandate is devoted exclusively to the needs of film production company owners. The members’ expertise ranges from feature films, television programming, commercial and documentary production, to corporate and new media.
Admission to the association follows strict selection criteria and requires the candidate to meet high professional standards. Limited to 100 members, IQ delivers clear-cut business advantages, such as branch offices worldwide, access to foreign locations and crews, equipment hire and local experience.
The annual conference is hosted each year by a different member of IQ, allowing the conference to take place each year in a new location around the globe. In recent years conferences have been held in New York, Shanghai, Rome, Sydney, Tokyo, Tallinn and Los Angeles. This year it will take place in Panama City, Panama.
