Online PR News – 31-October-2012 – Chicago, Ill. – (October 30th, 2012)—Get inside the brain of a new 55-year-old musician who reminds us through song about the importance of loving, laughing, playing – and even yearning for effective leadership.

Jim Krochka has announced the launch of his new website,, where you’ll discover the rhythmic fruits of a unique musician, including his CD, “Inside the Brain,” which features the populistic “Inside the Banker’s Brain” and the melodic “Where Have All the Leaders Gone?”

“Many of the songs I wrote represented important things I wanted to say,” Krochka said while explaining the title of his new CD. “’Where Have All the Leaders Gone?’ is an important topic about leadership in the world and where we are headed. A couple of other songs are about love, so they contact messages about something no doubt we all think about. “So, it just seemed to me that the theme for this CD is about what is going on inside my brain.”

His website also has a lot going on – including a blog and a store that offers free audio samples of nine of his new songs and video downloads for $1.29 apiece. The home page provides a strong glimpse of his discography via the complete “Where Have All the Leaders Gone?” video, in which Krochka stands out in vocals and acoustic guitar, which he has been playing for most of his life.

Krochka’s path to writing and performing his own music came, interestingly, through rejection. He said he wrote a song called “Cyber Lover,” played to the music of Bobby Darin’s “Dream Lover,” but said he ultimately received little interest from those holding the copyright to the 1959 hit song.

“So I decided to write my own music,” Krochka said. “The first song I wrote was ‘I Don’t Know Why.’ I quickly became very passionate about writing and could not sleep at night because of the songs going through my head.”

He wrote "So This Is Love" for his wife, about the discovery of true love. “My guess is that many people never truly fall in love,” he said. “They may have other feelings, but true love is very different. I now know that I had never felt it, and neither did my wife until now, so the song is about what that feeling is like.” He also wrote “Jaymee,” for his daughter. He feels that it is a song many fathers should relate to.

His music embraces various forms and styles, from the Caribbean sound of “Take Me to Belize” to the 70s rock feel of “Inside the Banker’s Brain,” which carries a strong Pink Floyd vibe.

"I hope my new career in music shows people that it's never too late to start something new or become passionate about something,” Krochka said. “It makes life more fun. My guess is that it makes for a healthier life, too."
