Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Award Reinforces Centre’s World-Class Culinary Offerings
Online PR News – 02-November-2012 – Kuala Lumpur – The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (the Centre) has set a new benchmark in the catering industry by winning the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Malaysia Chapter’s inaugural ‘Dato Lau Foo Sun Excellence in Dining Award’.
According to Datuk Dr Jagjit Singh Sambhi, Malaysia Chapter President, Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, the judging was based on several criteria, from pre-dinner experience, menu, wine and food presentation to service, ambience and venue setting, and overall dining experience.
“Of the five establishments considered for this inaugural award, the Centre was the only convention facility with the other four being hotels, which makes it unusual and unique. This is commendable and reflects the efforts of the Centre’s ongoing pursuit to elevate its culinary standards in the industry.”
Paying tribute to the Centre’s 51-strong Culinary, Beverage and Catering teams for their continuing commitment to the delivery of quality banqueting experiences, the Centre’s General Manager Datuk Peter Brokenshire added the award “further reinforces our world-class culinary offerings and services to be on par if not better when compared with some of the country’s leading hotel establishments. Convention centres also serve great food.”
The Centre’s growing reputation in the culinary world has been further enhanced by the recognition of its 5-Star Banqueting experience which delivers both fine dining and excellent value.
The ‘Dato Lau Foo Sun Excellence in Dining Award’ is named after the founder Bailli Delegue (President) of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Malaysia Chapter, the late Dato Lau Foo Sun.
