Kadelís Auto Body Donates Turkeys To Local Food Banks for Thanksgiving

Several shop managers from Kadelís Auto Body postponed their morning tasks to deliver over one hundred turkeys to eight food banks in the Portland, Vancouver, Salem and Eugene areas. The equivalent was in cash donated to a Tigard, OR food pantry.

Online PR News – 23-November-2012 – Tigard, Oregon – Tigard, Oregon-On November 13, 2012, several shop managers from Kadelís Auto Body postponed their morning tasks to deliver over one hundred turkeys to eight food banks in the Portland, Vancouver, Salem and Eugene areas. The equivalent was in cash donated to a Tigard, OR food pantry.
ďThe employees and owners of Kadelís Auto Body live and work in these communities. When we see that our neighbors have fallen on hard times, we want to help,Ē said Don Braden, President and CEO of Kadelís Auto Body. ďIt is our hope that other community members and businesses will join Kadelís in support of our neighbors who need help and donate to their local food banks and pantries.Ē

Shop Managers Dave and Brian donated turkeys at Snowcap Community Charities, where a staff member explained that food pantries are not often able to get turkeys and other special holiday items from the Oregon Food Bank.
Eileen DiCicco, Development Associate at the Marion-Polk Food Share said ďThank you to Kadelís for providing these turkeys for the ever increasing need that we see every day, thank you.Ē She continued by saying that they were
experiencing the lowest inventory of food for local people in the past 15 months and the need for food is up 13%
this quarter, which translates into a very high need.

Turkeys were also donated to the Clark County Food Bank in Vancouver, WA, the Good Samaritan Center of North Portland, the Marion County Food Bank in Salem, the Salem Evangelical Church in Salem, the Salvation Army Food Bank in Eugene, OR the Salvation Army Food Bank in Springfield, OR and to another Eugene, OR organization called the Lamplighters, who support families of children with cancer. St. Anthonyís Food Pantry in Tigard, OR requested a cash donation instead for turkeys to serve Thanksgiving dinner to the people they support.
