Igho Sanomi to Receive Award as Patron of Nigeria’s National Heritage

The Federal Ministry of Tourism, Culture and National Orientation will on 30th November 2012 and in the presence of the Nigerian international diplomatic community, confer upon Mr Sanomi an award in recognition of his work as a patron of Nigeria’s national heritage.

Online PR News – 24-November-2012 – Abuja, Nigeria – The Federal Ministry of Tourism, Culture and National Orientation will on 30th November 2012 and in the presence of the Nigerian international diplomatic community, confer upon Mr Sanomi an award in recognition of his work as a patron of Nigeria’s national heritage.
In a letter sent to Mr Sanomi on 19th November 2012, the Honourable Minister of Tourism, Culture and National Orientation, Edem Duke, stated as follows:
“In recognition of your unrelenting effort and support for various causes through your corporate social responsibility in Nigeria. The Federal Ministry of Tourism, Culture and National Orientation is proud to confer on you the award of ‘Patron, Nigeria National Heritage’. It is our hope that this award would spur you to greater service to Nigeria especially in the areas of harnessing our rich cultural heritage assets and restoration/promotion of the same for the ultimate benefit of Nigeria.’’
Igho Sanomi commented on this achievement by saying that he feels greatly humbled by the recognition. He went further to state that Nigeria’s cultural heritage is losing significant value.
“Our country is so rich in history. All the way from the north to the south, from east to west, we have memorable stories and structures to share. We must do all we can to preserve this heritage for the benefit of us today and for our generations yet unborn’’.
