Florida law firm volunteers at Third Annual Broward County Thanksgiving Community Outreach
Online PR News – 30-November-2012 – Ft. Lauderdale, FL – Ft. Lauderdale, FL – Feeding South Florida reports that nearly one million people in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, and Monroe counties struggled to put food on the table this Thanksgiving. Thankfully, that number was reduced through the efforts of the Ft. Lauderdale law firm of Lawlor, Winston, White & Murphey. The firm teamed with Farmer, Jaffe, Weissing, Edwards, Fistos & Lehrman, P.L.; House Representative and local Ft. Lauderdale lawyer Perry Thurston; and several local businesses to partner with Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity for their Third Annual Broward County Thanksgiving Community Outreach.
That the participating firms made generous donations to the outreach event probably comes as no surprise. But these businesses not only wrote checks, they donated their time and energy to prepare Thanksgiving baskets that included turkey and all the trimmings. They then hand-delivered the baskets to 500 Pompano Beach families in need, doubling, by the way, last year’s efforts.
Lawlor, Winston, White & Murphey’s participation in this Thanksgiving event is evidence of their commitment to the communities they serve. The firm has long been involved with local charities and organizations throughout Florida, including The Boys & Girls Club, the YMCA, the Guardian Ad Litem Program (representing abused and neglected children), and the COSAC Foundation (providing homeless relief). The Lawlor Winston team believes in “walking the walk, and not just talking the talk” to make their community a better place to live and work.
