2013 Nissan Leaf is getting several upgraded features including longer range, lower-price base model, faster charging, and a more efficient heater.
Online PR News – 15-January-2013 – Durango, CO – The Nissan Leaf is entering its third year, and with this new year comes some upgraded features. Nissan has been hard at work redesigning this new Leaf model to have a slightly longer range, new lower-priced base model, faster charging times, and a more efficient heating system.
While the battery in the Leaf will remain the same, several factors about the vehicle will see improvements: the 2013 Leaf will be more aerodynamic, have improved regenerative braking, and better energy management.
The new model will also come in three different trim levels: the Leaf S, Leaf SV, and Leaf SL (bottom-, mid-, and top-tier, respectively). The S version comes equipped with an optional rear-view camera and optional 6.6-kW charger for faster charging. The SV will be available with 16-inch alloy wheels and LED headlamps and running lamps. The top-tier SL adds standard features such as leather seats and a new 17-inch alloy wheels. A premium package is available for the SV and SL trims which includes a display showing images of the carís surroundings and a seven-speaker Bose audio system.
Pricing will be released closer to the carís sale date.
