PHIT Kids Presents StoryUp! May 5th, at the Shubin Theater in South Philadelphia

The monthly performance of “PHIT Kids presents StoryUP!” will take place Sunday morning, May 5th at 10:00 a.m. in The Shubin Theatre. The storytelling show for children ages 5 lets kids become a part of the show through their own stories.

Philadelphia’s finest improvisers create a funny and magical hour of adventure based on ideas and stories from kids in the audience. A family show recommended for ages 5 and up, PHIT Kids presents StoryUP! is non-stop fun that takes everyone along for the ride. Whether providing sound effects, creating characters onstage, or contributing a story of their own for the actors to perform on the spot, the kids ignite the show - and the performers deliver a one-of-a-kind experience you won’t find anywhere else.

PHIT Kids presents StoryUP! will entertain, educate and empower children through participatory storytelling, improvisational performance and story creation. The show will include music, sing-alongs and a host that keeps the fun moving. Children are welcome to come prepared with their own story but will be able to participate with no advanced preparation.

Founded in 2005, Philly Improv Theater (PHIT) delivers the best alternative comedy in the tri-state area including improv, sketch, and stand-up. Presenting over 300 performances a year, PHIT has found its home at The Shubin Theatre where comedy fans can find a wide variety of shows most weeks of the year.
