Brokk adds James "Cat" Catalanotto as the Northeast Regional Sales Representative for it's U.S. Sales team. Cat owns and operates EMCAT LLC, a manufacturers' representative company in Boston and brings 22 years of experience to the company.

Online PR News – 04-May-2013 – Monroe, Wash. – MONROE, Wash. (May 2, 2013) – Brokk AB, the world’s leading manufacturer of remote controlled demolition machines, has added James “Cat” Catalanotto to its U.S. sales team. Catalanotto, who owns and operates EMCAT LLC, a manufacturers’ representative company in Boston, is Brokk’s new regional sales representative for the New England states.

Catalanotto is working to strengthen relationships with current customers while developing new connections for Brokk in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.

“Cat brings a wealth of experience to meeting the needs of our customers in the northeastern region of the United States, and we’re delighted to welcome him to our sales family,” said Peter Bigwood, vice president of sales and marketing for Brokk in North America. “Cat is going to be a dependable asset for customers in terms of information about the unusual tasks our machines handle and the value Brokks bring to a wide range of demolition and construction projects.”

Catalanotto brings more than 22 years of sales experience in both distribution and direct lines to the relationship, and his company represents numerous complementary brands of equipment and attachments. Now, with the Brokk relationship, Catalanotto is able to demonstrate solutions to unique challenges that only the compact, remote-controlled machines can handle. For example, while the Brokk machines can work in tight spaces, they are extremely powerful relative to their weight. Further, they are safer for operators because they can be controlled from a distance. In addition, because they are fully electric Brokk machines do not emit harmful emissions, making them ideal for enclosed spaces.

Prior to launching EMCAT in 2012, Catalanotto was the northeastern United States sales manager for Husqvarna Construction Products for nearly 12 years, and before that he was a sales lead for Pro-Companies, Waltham, Mass. It was while he was with Pro-Companies that he first encountered Brokk machines, which were being used on parts of the Big Dig in Boston. Officially known as the Central Artery/Tunnel Project, the Big Dig was a massive undertaking that rerouted Interstate 93 from the city center into a 3˝-mile tunnel.

“Brokk machines have proven their unique capabilities on some of the largest projects in the world,” Catalanotto said. “Brokk is also the largest and most experienced specialty robotic equipment company in the industry, and it has earned its reputation as the cream of the crop for support after the sale. I’m proud to be on the front lines with our customers in the field.”

For more than 30 years, Brokk has been the world’s leading manufacturer of remote-controlled demolition and construction machines and attachments. Through continuous innovation in engineering and design, Brokk is able to offer unique solutions to multiple industries worldwide including construction, demolition, mining and tunneling, cement and process, nuclear and other specialty applications.
