SATURDAY 6TH JULY, The Community Day (from 11am) with live music taking place in the outdoor marquee and cellar bar from 4pm to Midnight with performances from bands such as Broth3r, Micro Jupiter, The Decade Runners, Theia and The Dandy Lions.

Online PR News – 03-July-2013 – Derbyshire – SATURDAY 6TH JULY, The Community Day (from 11am) with live music taking place in the outdoor marquee and cellar bar from 4pm to Midnight with performances from bands such as Broth3r, Micro Jupiter, The Decade Runners, Theia and The Dandy Lions. Slam Poetry Workshops will also take place in the outdoor area run by professional poet John Berkovitch, alongside other Graffiti and Willow-weaving, animation workshops. Demonstrations from the community’s football team, cricket club, tai chi club, pigeon society and youth club will all be taking place in the outdoor performance area.

7th JULY IS HERITAGE SUNDAY (12am – 4pm) with heritage tours and talks taking place all day, live excavations and interactive archaeology, stalls run by Council of British Archaeology’s Young archaeologists club, British Museum Portable Antiquities scheme, Heritage Lottery, University of Leicester, Ashby Museum, Grace Dieu Priory, Measham Museum, Braustone Historical society, Whitwick Historical Society, Cotesbatch educational trust and Moira furnace. Local artist Alan Hair will be painting the front of the school and there will be a number of art and craft workshops such as postcard making, pottery painting, urban knitting and wood craft stalls. Like on the Saturday there will also be live music on throughout the day in the outdoor acoustic tent with acts such as Daniel Dobbs and Rob Lea.
