Confidential Patient Services (CPS) Adds Free Mental Health Services

Confidential Patient Services (CPS)- a program that helps those living with HIV/AIDS with housing assistance, financial assistance, food assistance, and healthcare navigation- now provides free mental health services.

Online PR News – 03-August-2013 – Los Angeles, California – Confidential Patient Services (CPS), a program within the AIDS Assistance Foundation, has added free mental health services to its already extensive list of free services for those living with HIV/AIDS. The services will be available for all CPS and Sidelle Wellness members. Mental health services are provided in multiple settings, such as: group educational classes, small support groups, and one-on-one peer counseling with one of CPS’s mental health counselors. All the stated services are offered in English and Spanish.

About AAF:

The AIDS Assistance Foundation (AAF) is a charitable organization that provides comprehensive assistance and support to individuals living with HIV/AIDS in Southern California. The Foundation’s role is to secure, manage, and administer philanthropic funding to support the mission of Sidelle Wellness and Confidential Patient Services.

Ultimately, these additional resources provide real attention, specified support, and peace of mind to the people we serve.

About CPS:

Started in 2011, Confidential Patient Services is a support and patient navigation program aimed towards improving the overall wellness and lifestyles of individuals living with HIV/AIDS. CPS helps members navigate and gain access to various services and programs, including, but not limited to: housing assistance, financial assistance, food assistance, and healthcare navigation. A personal support team helps members through every step of the way and is on call 24-hours a day. CPS’s Patient Care Specialists are mobile and will meet members at their home or other convenient locations to provide the best service possible.

Mission

CPS’s mission is to provide free quality and compassionate mobile patient navigation services to individuals living with HIV/AIDS. With this in mind, CPS created the Patient Navigation Program to ensure all patients are reached, educated, and empowered regarding their rights and options concerning their healthcare.
