Help Soccer in the Streets Welcome The Ball to Atlanta

Atlanta is one stop of many on The Ball's journey to the FIFA World Cup in Brazil this summer.

Online PR News – 29-January-2014 – Atlanta, GA – Join Soccer in the Streets as we officially welcome The Ball to Atlanta on Friday, February 7th at 11a.m. at the W Hotel downtown. A brief presentation will be followed by a public kick around in Centennial Olympic Park.

The Ball is soccer and the World Cup's equivalent of the Olympic Torch. Its journey began from Battersea Park in London, the location of the first soccer match under modern rules, earlier this year. Instead of being passed from hand to hand like the Torch, is played with and kicked by as many people as possible on its journey to the World Cup. In addition to the public event at Centennial Olympic Park, The Ball will also visit Soccer in the Streets programs during its stay in Atlanta.
