KC3.net is urging local technology companies to follow in its footsteps and enter the 5th ICT Excellence Awards sponsored by the Advantage West Midlands ICT Cluster. The awards honour the best technology companies region wide, and with an abundance of local talent in Herefordshire the area has a good chance of success.

The IT award categories honour the best technology companies region wide, and with an abundance of local talent in Herefordshire the area has a good chance of success.

KC3.net was honoured in the 2008 awards where it was named Most Improved Business and was also Highly Commended in the Best Added Value Product and the Best Knowledge Transfer Project Award categories. KC3.net is an ISO9001:2008 quality accredited company which provides internet based business solutions to public and private sector clients. Approximately 50% of the current clients are drawn from the public sector. A recent project is typical of KC3.net’s capabilities - www.tlpfunding.net - the website provides a complete environment for Higher Education online grant applications and an online back office system to administer the applications through to project completion.

KC3.net Limited employs 16 staff and benefits from an additional 3 non-executive directors.

The free to enter awards recognise top technology companies for outstanding achievements to the industry. The winners will be announced at the evening ICT Excellence Awards event following the annual ICT Conference on 10th November 2009, which is being held at the National Motorcycle Museum in Bickenhill, Solihull.

Categories in this year's awards are the ICT Excellence Award for Best Innovative Product, Best Innovative Service, Best Added Value Product, Best Added Value Service, Best Added Value Project, Best Knowledge Transfer Project and Most Improved Business. An overall champion will be selected from the winners of each of the seven categories and receive a cheque for £2,000. An additional award, the Technology Strategy Board’s Special Award for High Growth Potential Business 2009 is also being introduced this year.

Nominations for all IT awards categories must be submitted by 12 noon on Monday 28th September.
