Darcy Swain-Walsh (MITRE) and Salvador D'Itri (Shared Spectrum Company) appointed as Wireless Innovation Forum Members at Large at May Board Meeting
Online PR News – 22-May-2014 – Washington DC – The Wireless Innovation Forum, a non-profit international industry association dedicated to driving the future of radio communications and systems worldwide, today announced the appointment of two new Board of Directors members elected at the Forumís Board Meeting on 13 May. Joining the board as Members at Large are Darcy Swain-Walsh of MITRE and Salvador DíItri of Shared Spectrum Company.
Darcy Swain-Walsh is a Lead Communications Engineer at The MITRE Corporation, a not-for profit company that operates federally funded research and development centers (FFRDCs). She leads projects related to Federal spectrum management, focusing on spectrum sharing, policy, and strategic planning. She is currently vice-Chair of the IEEE DYSPAN-SC 1900.5 working group on Policy Language and Architectures for Managing Cognitive Radio for Dynamic Spectrum Access Applications. Darcy holds a B.S. in Integrated Science and Technology from James Madison University and a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from The George Washington University.
Salvador DíItri is Director of Sales and Marketing for Shared Spectrum Company in Vienna, VA. He has more than 20 years experience in driving technology innovations and leading business development and product marketing in embedded wireless systems, Software as a Service and cloud computing markets. He is an appointed member of the Cable and Information Technology Commission for Arlington County, VA. D'Itri received a M.A. in telecommunications from George Mason University and B.S. in accounting and computer systems from Robert Morris College in Pittsburgh.
