The Grobal Challenge

Grobal Self Watering Plant Pot Contest

Online PR News – 27-August-2010 – – GrobalWorld announces The Grobal Challenge Contest. Grobal is looking for the “brownest thumbs in the country.” For those who have given up growing house plants because they always die, this contest is for them.

Are you one of the many Americans who’ve given up on growing plants in your home because they always die? GrobalWorld invites you to enter The Grobal Challenge contest – they are looking for the “brownest thumbs” in the country! Selection will be made based on entries with enthusiasm, creativity, and humor. Posting photos (such as pictures of plants that have died in the contestant’s house, the spot in the home where contestants would put the Grobal if selected, etc.) or short videos explaining why they wish to be a contestant will also increase chances of being selected. The panel of judges will select 25 contestants from across the country to participate in The Grobal Challenge.

To enter The Grobal Challenge contest, potential contestants simply “like” Grobal on Facebook (http://facebook.com/grobalworld) and post a message to the wall about why they want to take The Grobal Challenge. Twenty five contestants will be selected to receive a free Grobal and agree to grow a plant, flower, orchid or herb in it for approximately 8 – 9 weeks. One lucky contestant will win the Grand Prize: a new Appe iPad® as well as a variety of home gardening products from Organicare®. The Grand Prize winner will be announced November 5, 2010. Contestants must enter by Midnight PST on August 31st. Contest is open to U.S residents only. See official rules for complete contest details.

Contestants will be required to post photos or videos on the Grobal Facebook page throughout the duration of the contest. A panel of judges will evaluate contestants with criteria such as:
•Size and overall appearance of plant at conclusion of contest
•Who demonstrated the best results using Grobal
•Enthusiastic participation in the contest (each contestant must post a message to the Grobal Facebook wall at least once per week, including photos or videos).

Grobal is a unique, self-watering planter that makes home plant care simple and easy, even for those without a green thumb. By placing water in the reservoir, the Grobal pots allow the plants to absorb water as they need it. Grobalworld is a subsidiary of American Agritech which also owns Botanicare and Organicare.
