Kenny Hansmire and the American Football Coaches Association Team Up with the Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions have joined the efforts of Kenny Hansmire and the American Football Coaches association to distribute child identification kits

Online PR News – 28-July-2016 – Comanche,Texas,USA – For nearly two decades, Kenny Hansmire has been the Executive Director of the American Football Associationís (AFCA), National Child Identification Program (NCIDP). In recent months, the program has partnered with the NFLís Detroit Lions to distribute child identification kits to their fans and community. The team will hand out the inkless fingerprint and identification kits to their fans during upcoming games in the season. The Detroit Lions are the second team from the NFL to join the cause, with the Green Bay Packerís leading the effort in their home state of Wisconsin. Along with distributing kits during home games, the Detroit Lions will collaborate with the program heads to raise awareness of the AFCAís National Child Identification Program for Michigan families.

The National Child Identification Program was started by the Texas-based AFCA in 1997 and had the goal of getting 20 million children from across the United States fingerprinted. In the last twenty years, the program has managed to exceed their expectations, having distributed more than thirty-eight million nationally and internationally. This has made the program the largest child identification effort ever conducted. Kenny Hansmire has been the Executive Director of the program since 1998 and has been responsible for providing thousands of kits to families in his hometown of Comanche, Texas. He has led the way in urging parents to remember that preventative actions can help keep their children safe and proving the education and tools parents need.

Kenny Hansmire was born and raised in Texas. He attended Howard Payne University and was a wide receiver for their football team. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in business and went on to play professional football for many years. He played for the Houston Oilers and Philadelphia Eagles, as well as the San Antonio Gunslingers, a team in the United States Football League. He has been the Executive Director of the National Child Identification Program, which was started in 1997 by the American Football Coaches Association. He lives in Comanche, Texas with his wife and two daughters.
