TGA BREEZE 4 TACKLES SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS WITH EASE ON BBC2’S LANDWARD PROGRAMME

Presented by Euan McIlwraith, BBC Scotland’s Landward TV programme demonstrated the impressive off-road capabilities of the TGA Breeze 4 last week, as members of the Forth & Tay Disabled Ramblers easily negotiated dense woods and heather land.

Online PR News – 01-December-2010 – – One of four products tested in this mobility feature, the Breeze 4 with its all round rugged suspension was put through its paces by Helena Janicki, an active member of the Forth & Tay Disabled Ramblers (FTDR). Similar to the Berkshire Disabled Ramblers that TGA supports, the FTDR consist of an 80-strong group of less able individuals who ramble in central Scotland 10 times a year travelling around 8 miles each time. With the assistance of a fleet of robust scooters such as the TGA Breeze 4 that can be loaned, this group has been active for over 9 years and also provides mini bus pick-ups.

During the TV programme, Helena drove the Breeze 4 across extremely uneven heather land and into wooded areas which did not present an issue as the scooter remained stable at all times. After the product test Helena commented, ‘I couldn’t believe that it could go over the lumpy bumpy heather land – it was absolutely astonishing! I was stunned and very, very impressed and would love to do it again. When you are disabled your style can be cramped quite a lot and you think that’s just not for me (enjoying the outdoors), today it was for me and I felt truly liberated and empowered!”

Watching the programme, Tim Ross, National Sales Manager for TGA concluded, ‘It was great to see members of the Forth & Tay Disabled Ramblers enjoying themselves on a ramble. We feel this organisation performs such a worthwhile task as we have seen how important organised meetings are for the Berkshire based group. It’s president Dr Mike Bruton MBE chooses a TGA Supersport for his rambles as it has such an impressive 25-mile single-charge range. Our
Breeze 4 is equally impressive and it was fantastic to see it outperform the other three mobility products on performance, agility and price.”
